Ramavarappadu is the junction the east side of Vijayawada leaves through — NH-16 and the Inner Ring Road meet at the Ring, which makes it one of the busiest roundabouts in the city and the point every drive towards Eluru, Rajahmundry and Vizag actually begins at. Starting a trip from here means you are past the city before you have started, and coming back it is the last thing between you and home. It is also a genuinely awkward place to stand and wait, which is the practical reason to have a car meet you off it rather than on it.
Pickup tip — Nobody should be picked up on the Ring itself. Name a lane or a landmark just off it — Currency Nagar side or the Eluru Road side — and the driver waits there instead of circling a roundabout.
