Outstation is round trip only — the car and the driver stay with you and come back with you. The NH-544D via Guntur and Macherla run into Srisailam has a ghat section, so it takes longer than 250 km suggests — build that into the start time rather than the car. That fits inside a single day's 300 km, so a Swift Dzire handles it for four and the car is back the same night; six or seven means an Ertiga, Carens or Rumion, and a tempo traveller above that. All of them come with a local, Telugu-speaking driver.

Most people take in the Srisailam dam and the ghat viewpoints on the same trip. They are short stops on the way rather than a detour, so tell the driver at the start and he builds them in instead of turning back for them.

Most drivers break around Sattenapalle, roughly halfway between Vijayawada and Srisailam. The road passes Guntur, Sattenapalle, Macherla, Dornala, so you can stop wherever suits — tell the driver and he will plan the halt around it.
