Nearly everyone books this as a return, because there is no practical way to pick up a ride back from Srisailam. The NH-765 run into Srisailam has a ghat section, so it takes longer than 215 km suggests — build that into the start time rather than the car. That fits inside one day's 300 km allowance, so a Swift Dzire handles it for four and the car is back the same night; six or seven means an Ertiga, Carens or Rumion, and a tempo traveller above that. All of them come with a local, Telugu-speaking driver.
